Bella Siberian Cat
is for You
Siberians are fantastic cats. Besides being snuggly and social, following you from room to room and playing fetch, they are hypoallergenic.
Siberian cats are powerfully built, triple-coated purr machines. Owners, veterinarians and even the CFA (Cat Fancier's Association) refer to Siberians as "dog-like" due to their tendencies to greet their families at the door, follow them from room to room, play in water and seek attention. Even self-proclaimed "dog people" enjoy Siberian cats as companions.
Even better news? Most people who are allergic to cats do not react to Siberians. It's not the shedding of hair that makes people allergic to animals, it's a specific protein (Fel d 1), mainly produced in saliva, that triggers reactions. When a cat licks its fur, it leaves tiny bits of this protein on its hair, which then float into the air. Siberians create significantly less of this protein, so if you've been wanting a cat but didn't think you could have one due to allergies, see how you do with a hypoallergenic Siberian cat! Siberian cats do well with other animals, and with kids. To make our kittens the most social creatures possible, we introduce them to people of all ages and energies.
If you already have animals, our inquisitive kittens will most likely approach them. Be prepared to spend time supervising their interactions and provide any necessary separation or redirection. Getting them both interested in the same toy can be a great distraction to allow them to be near each other without fear.
Responsibility
Your kitten will be with you all the time, every day. Make sure that you and your family are ready to take on this responsibility - not just now, but for the next 10-15 years.
To consider
Do you work from home?
If you are regularly out of the house, you might consider getting more than one cat. Siberian cats are very social animals.
Do you have other pets?
Our kittens are introduced to people and other animals as often as possible. Siberian cats do well with other animals, and with kids. At the least, they will have had contact with other cats, and with dogs. Most animals, when introduced to a kitten, will warm up to them. If you already have adult animals, be prepared to spend time and maybe money to supervise their interactions and provide any necessary training.
Do you travel often?
Your future planning will need to include either accommodations for your pet to travel with you, or a reliable place for them to stay while you're away. Either can be expensive.
Is your financial future predictable?
Like any pet, Siberian cats require some basics, as well as ongoing expenses like food and treats, flea treatment and immunizations and veterinary care.

Siberian cats have additional requirements. They need to be brushed every week and have their nails trimmed at least once a month. This requires commitment - of time, or money, or both - for the life of the cat (about 15 years). You have to become aware of, and avoid, things that are dangerous to your cat.
